Wool-Mohair Shawls Wool-Mohair is an all season fashion fibre combination, wonderfully warm but woven in an airy, lightweight structure that breathes with the body on warm days. Fine Romney wool has been chosen for the fibre's luster and well defined crimp. This combines perfectly with the 20 % bouclé Mohair blended with the wool by way of intermixing threads. Mohair is a silk like fibre made from the hair of Angora goats. It is durable, resilient, light and warm. It has a high affinity for dyes and wonderful colour combinations can be achieved. The shawls are handwoven on a Bartlett floor loom in lengths of 2 meters (6'6.5") and a width of 72 centimeters (2'4" ) with 15 centimeter (6 inch) fringes at each end. These fringes are hand knotted before the rug is milled by pounding and washing in warm water and soap. The end product is a wonderfully warm, beautifully coloured lightweight shawl. Enhance your autumn, winter and spring fashion outfits and keep yourself warm and comfortable at the same time by adding beautiful feather weight Wool-Mohair shawls . These handwoven and skilfully dyed garments remain in style because they are timeless, authentic and beautiful. Wool-Mohair shawls are created in ten beautiful colour combinations, nine of which are shown in the picture on the left. Cream is not pictured. Colour choices are shown on the left.
